North American Tour-Day 22

This day we continued through Arkansas. It’s pretty flat when you leave the Memphis area, could be Ohio/Indiana. Mostly agricultural with some cattle. I can recognize corn, but don’t know what the other crops were. Some was in a real wet field, so that could be rice.

We camped @ Beard’s Bluff, along a huge lake developed by the Army Corps of Engineers. It wasn’t bad-quiet, with a view of the lake & we were close to the shower/restrooms.

In order to find the McDonald’s to use the computer, we had to drive about 30 miles. It was pretty countryside, with simple homes & with green rolling hills & trees. It’s comfortably warm & sunny. We had dinner @ a Mexican restaurant & were thirsty for mango margaritas-only to be informed that this was a DRY county! So 3 big glasses of sweet tea had to suffice! The closer we get to Texas, the hotter it gets!

we’re getting faster @ setting-up & taking-down our campsite!

Glad to here from you again my computer has been down for 3 days, When do you think you’ll be up this way. If your touring South Dakota I’d sugest Custer State Park (dont get too near the Bison They are dangerous, if you are on foot) Mt. Rushmore , Deadwood and Lead, The Motercycle Rally in Sturgis is later in the year, Dont forget the Badlands take the road between Wall and Kadoka. All of these places are not far apart. Have Fun bill
